Look who is "talking"

Natalee is starting to "talk" to us more. It is nice that she talks sometimes instead of crying! Here is a collection of video clips from today. Sorry, if you have a slow internet connection it could be kind of slow.

Tummy Time

Image
Here are some pictures from tummy time yesterday. She does well, although she still doesn't particularly like it for long periods of time. And, she hasn't quite figured out how to use her arms yet. However, her legs sure know how to go! "Hi!" "What is that? Is it an arm?" "Whoa! That's MY arm!

Lindsay's Hair Cut

Image
I'm all ready for Todd and Kate's wedding now. I have the dress altered and I bought a dress for Natalee. I got my hair trimmed today -- It was long overdue. (The last time I got it trimmed was October...yikes!) Unlike Colleen, I did not get pink stripes in my hair. I've always wanted some purple stripes, but my profession would frown upon that! Plus, Todd and Katie may not have liked that for their wedding.... Originally, I thought Jesse would be home today to watch Natalee -- however, he had to work overtime. So, Natalee had to come along with me to the hair stylist. She was a perfect little angel, though, just watching everything that was going on. Thank goodness that worked out okay! One prayer request -- Natalee is having issues taking the bottle now (she was doing somewhat okay with it before). She doesn't want to take it from the people that take care of her. Last Thursday she only ate one time while I was at work. Lately she is even resisting Jesse. She just...

Natalee Bouncing

What is wrong with Penn State? I actually got to watch the game today since it was a national broadcast. You can't fumble the ball inside the 10 yard line when you are playing at Michigan! Frustrating.... I got tired of that, so I put together this playtime video from last night.

2 Months Old

Image
Wow...Natalee is two months old now! She went in for her two month appointment this morning. She is still in the 75th percentile for weight and height. She weighs 11lbs. 13oz. and is 22 3/4 inches long. This time, she did not poop on the scale, but I was afraid that she would since she hasn't had a movement since Friday morning! She took in everything really well...until the second and third shots....and then we were very upset. After surviving the whole ordeal, though, Natalee is now taking a nap. (These photos were taken before the appointment!) She is trying to make the lip noises again. "Okay, enough pictures already!"

Happy Birthday Grammie!

The Honn's visit

Image
This weekend, Jesse's parents and dog, Shadow, came over to visit their Natalee. I suppose they came to visit us, too. They gave us a break so that we could go bike riding, which was really nice. What about ME? They are paying too much attention to Natalee... What a ham!

Kaelyn Isobel Hosier

Image
My college roommate and best man at our wedding Ken and his wife Jen had their first child, Kaelyn on Sunday afternoon. She weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20 inches long. Congratulations!!

Natalee's Lip Noises

Make sure to have the volume turned on! Natalee tries to mimic Jesse's noises.

The "Bouncy Chair"

Image
Sometime over the last few weeks, Natalee has discovered that if she moves her arms and legs, the chair bounces! This makes it a lot nicer for us. We still have to bounce the chair for her sometimes, but other times she entertains herself by making it bounce. And, it looks like it is a lot of fun!

Manchester State Park

Image
Jesse, Dad, Natalee and I had our Labor Day picnic at Manchester State Park . After eating our hamburgers and strawberry/banana fruit mixture, we met up with Mike and Kenny at Dalaiwood for a round of disc golf. You can see the Washington State Ferry passing by behind us on its way to Bremerton. Natalee has a mohawk developing here since the hair on the sides of her head is being rubbed off.

Rock Foundation

Image
This weekend, Jesse and Dad worked to put a decorative cover around our foundation. It still needs a trim piece added to the connecting point. It looks really nice now! Before: After:
