Videos from the past few months

I just got a few videos off of the camcorder and converted them so that I can show them on the computer. I appologize because this first one is at least two months old, I would guess. In fact, Brady is still stationary in this first one (and he is far from stationary now)! Here, we are playing while waiting for dinner to get ready. Even the next videos are at least three weeks old. **sorry** In this house we are allowed to jump on the bed-- but only on the mattress in Natalee's room that is on the floor (part of her protection for when she falls out of bed) Unfortunately the video is kind of dark because we have not installed the bedroom ceiling lights yet. They are wired, but we don't have lights. Here is our daily getting ready for bed fun routine: After the jumping fun, lately we have tended to have a picnic in the living room. Please pardon my PJ's (we all get ready for bed)!

Brady's First Birthday Party

Image
I'm a little late posting about Brady's first birthday party. We had a party here at our house to celebrate birthday #1. We had cake and ice-cream. Here are my cupcakes that people thought were cats, snowmen, bunnies, etc. (They are supposed to be lions and lambs, you know because it is March!) Lily, Natalee, and I helped Brady blow out his candle. We gave Todd his favorite, a shoo-fly pie with 28 candles on it to celebrate his birthday (which was only 4 days after Brady's). Brady chowed down. He really liked the marshmallows on top of the lamb cupcakes. Brady's second cousins, from the Yoder side of the family: After cake, Brady enjoyed some cheese curls: Then came the presents. The ribbon was yummy. Of course, Natalee and Lily helped with opening presents, too. Mmm.... a tasty envelope!

Lower Trail

Image
This rainy Monday has me reflecting back on the fun that we had on Saturday. It was a gorgeous morning--perfect for riding bike. We went to the Lower Trail , starting at Water Street (the flea market) to avoid the road construction at Alexandria. Starting out, Natalee rode on the back of my bike in the seat and Brady rode in the bike trailer. We road about 4 miles to Mt. Etna Furnace. Here, they had picnic tables so that we could refresh with a drink and snack. Goldfish, of course! Since it is a rails to trail, it was really level. That's really nice when you are pulling a bike trailer or have an extra passenger riding with you. On the way back to our truck, Natalee decided to ride in the trailer with Brady. Poor Jesse :) You can imagine what that was like. Brady squealing because he wanted what Natalee had. Natalee yelling, "Brady, take it out of your mouth!" or "No Brady, you can't have that!" The trail actually starts just down the stree...

Flag Pole Hill

To take advantage of this awesome sunny and warm weather we have, we took a short family walk up to flag pole hill. Here is the view of town: Us: A panorama of Huntingdon: (you can click on it to make it bigger :)

Brady Turns 1!

Can you believe that Brady turns 1 already? Wow. Today is his first birthday. Brady found Natalee's dog :) He looks a little mischievous, doesn't he?

Muddy Peace Chapel Hike

Image
The weather was so nice this past weekend. However, we didn't get out to enjoy it very much with all of the sickness in our household. We still have some lingering sickness, but we needed to get out for a little while and enjoy the nice temperatures. Tonight we went on an easy walk up to the Peace Chapel. We weren't thinking about how all of the snow melt would make the path really muddy and watery. The dog had to get a bath as soon as we got home! Natalee enjoyed running around the Peace Chapel's granite stone circle. Brady enjoyed sitting on the edge of the stones. He liked how he could wiggle his legs back and forth (: If we lived about a 1/2 mile closer to the Peace Chapel, I think I would walk up here nearly every day!
