More Peas Please!

Uncle Todd would be proud.....

Swings

Image
Earlier this week we walked to the Dwight Street Park with Sarah & Kayli, but I forgot my camera. We walked back and had some more fun this morning. Today was the first day Meg was allowed to go for a walk following her dental surgery.

Happenings of the Week

Image
It has been a busy week so far. Here is some of what is going on in our household. Natalee: Squash is still really good . Peas are okay, too. Much better than plain cereal. She had her six month appointment on Monday. She is "normal" developmentally in everything except weight. She only gained 9 oz. over the past two months. She is now at 12lbs 15oz. So, we had to take her to get some blood work done to make sure everything is okay. I think everything will be okay, but it was done just to be sure. Meg: You can see the lump under Meg's right eye. Today, Meg had doggie surgery. They used her for the test subject of their new dental x-ray machine (so it was free). Then, they determined that her back tooth (the one with three roots) needed to be extracted. Now, she has had both back teeth taken out (the other one was taken out 1 1/2 years ago). She is now here at home recovering. Hopefully she doesn't whine all night long again after being doped up. She'll be spoiled...

Stitched Photos

Image
Mike gave us a neat program that you can stitch together photos that were taken side by side. So, I messed around with these pictures. Some turned out better than others. The first two are behind my parents house in Belleville, PA. The next two are from Valdez, AK. We were there in August of 2006.

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Image
This is how we spent our afternoon: What is Natalee smiling at and reaching for? You guessed it......Meg!!! Natalee is still enthralled with the dog. And, Natalee still does not exist in Megs world. Meg was actually pestering me while catching Natalee's attention! She looks so pretty in this dress. It fits a lot better now than it did in October at Todd & Katie's wedding. She has been growing like a weed lately! Also, she has been sitting up by herself really well this month.

Not Good at Multi-tasking?

Image
We took this video of Natalee last night after dinner because we thought it was funny. She is not good at doing two things at one time. She LOVES playing with her keys (thanks Jen, Jimmy, and Lilly!). She figured out a while ago that if she moves them, they make a noise -- and don't get in her way when she plays with them! She gets kind of wild. Meg got a special beef bone treat last night courtesy of my mom (and the freezer). Her tongue was really going!

A Nice Day to Disc Golf

Image
Since it was so nice out, we went out to Dalaiwood to disc golf. It was great to get outside in the woods. Kenny, Sarah, and Kayli came with us. Yeah for nice weather (on a weekend)! Kayli can walk now! Meg gave Kayli a kiss (or was she licking up some leftovers?) Natalee was sucking on her tongue. She rode in the stroller for part of the time. Jesse putting. He just barely missed the long putt. For 5 of the holes, Natalee got a lift from me. It was too hard to push the stroller on part of the course.

Snow Day

Image
This is what I saw out my window this morning: It got cold enough over night to snow! Of course, there's only a few inches out there. Not enough to make it really worth it. And, it won't last long because it is already melting. Since there is no school today, Natalee and I get to play. As soon as I give her this cow, it goes in her mouth within nanoseconds. Natalee was having fun playing with her blocks and toys in her saucer.

The Castle Wedding

Image
We went to Ross Gibson's wedding this evening in Bonney Lake. He is a friend of Jesse's from college. The wedding was held at this huge castle/mansion. The reception was on the ground floor and the wedding was on the second floor in the living room with all of the windows. Kate rode into the wedding in this carriage. Kate and Ross: Jesse, Natalee and me at the reception: Natalee had a great time dancing with her daddy at the wedding. She did very well at both the ceremony and reception. She thought she should be able to eat the cake. Since she slept the whole way home (about 1 hr. and 15 minutes), she is now having some "happy time" while I would like her to go to sleep. She is giggling, making lip noises, and playing with her feet instead of sleeping. I sure do hope she goes to sleep soon. Meg is staring at me and I do not know why.

Ewan, WA

Image
On Sunday afternoon/evening, we ate supper with some of Jesse's relatives. His cousin Elijah was home, too. Elijah is in the Army. I thought I'd share some photos that I took at his grandparents farm on the Palouse near Ewan, WA. It was a really pretty, snowy landscape.
