A Stick House

Image
The weather has been gorgeous the past few weeks.  We have spent a LOT of time outside making mud pies, riding scooters, picking leaves, tending their caterpillars (Bob and Julie), playing David and Goliath, playing Brady the Bear, jumping on the trampoline, swinging, and more. They built a stick house. Amie loves my swing.  It was most certainly a wonderful yard sale find! Sisterly love.

Penn State Football Game

Image
After the soccer game, we quickly drove over to the second half of the Penn State football game.  We figured the kids would only be good for half of the game anyway.  Since we got tickets through Jesse's work, we figured it was a good time to go! Brady sat on my lap a lot, probably because it was available. Penn State scored a touchdown and Brady was unprepared for the noisy roar of the crowd.  Poor guy.  I didn't think to warn him.  In hindsight, I should have known that the noise would "scare his ears." 4 of our family members.  Amie stayed with Gram and Mamma.  They tried to take her to the public supper, but it was too loud for Amie and they had to leave :(  I think she missed her momma, too. This was toward the end of the game when people started to leave and Brady had a hard time sitting in one place. Do you see the B in Big 10 behind Brady?  He informed the random lady sitting beside him, "There's a B down th...

Natalee's Soccer

Image
Natalee is playing soccer again this year.  She seems to be enjoying it a lot more this year.  She enjoys playing around with her teammates and is (sometimes) more aggressive.  This game, she was extremely proud that she had quite a cheering section-- Dad, Brady, Amie, Gram, Pap, Mamma, Pappy, Uncle Todd, and Aunt Kate.  She was absolutely beaming when she saw everyone arrive! Kate took these pictures.  They are so good that I have to share! Natalee turned her game on all of the sudden! I love #8 Haha Will!  You have to love little kids soccer. Natalee scored a goal!!!!  Here, she ran to her cheering section to give out high fives :) She's off to the races again!  She told me after the game that she "scored a goal and almost two more!"  It's amazing what you can do when you just go after it. Yeah team!

Trough Creek State Park Picnic

Image
The spot we love to picnic at the park is right beside the creek with Copperas Rock on the other side.  It was a sunny and pleasant afternoon when we got there. While we the older two were playing in the creek, I took some pictures of Amie since she is now 6 months old (!!!!).  I'm not always great at the editing part-- because I really don't have that much time to mess with it, but here is what I got! This one is pretty cute. Take a guess at who she is watching? Guess who she is laughing at! I think this is my favorite. Pretty. There really were fish here that they were trying to catch! We had a lovely picnic despite the fact that I forgot to pack charcoal lighter fluid.  Jesse managed to light the bag and it was enough to get the charcoal going.  It spritzed a bit of rain on us, so we went and made the hotdogs.  As I was eating my hotdog, Natalee and Brady started to roast their marshmallows ...

6 Months Old

Image
It's time for the 6 month old who does Amie most look like game! Jesse at 6 months Lindsay at 6 months Brady at 6 months I love this picture even though it is a bit out of place.  I guess Brady is 6 months old here! I see a little Amie in this view of Brady... Natalee at 6 months.  I see Amie here a bit, but Amie's hair is not as red. But, I don't see Amie in Natalee here. Natalee had a few more rolls (although not many more)!  I see Amie a bit here, too, yet there is something different.  Perhaps her nose? Her eyes? Amie at almost 6 months. I see some of my picture here. Perhaps Amie is simply Amie!

Pre School!

Image
We opted for another year of pre-school this year instead of Kindergarten.  It was a very difficult decision.  I still haven't really decided.  But, someone had to!  Of course she loved her first day of pre-school outside of our home. Brady REALLY wanted to stay, too.  He begged to go in both when we dropped Natalee off and when we went back to get her.  This drop off/pick up schedule is going to be hard for us this year.  If every day goes like this past Wednesday, it could be a very long year for me!  We had ruined naps, wet beds, and tears to work through. I love this picture of all three!
