Rocky Ridge, Part 2

Image
Sunday, we took the Ruckers with us to Rocky Ridge.  The children have been begging to take Will here.  When we went there last month, they were convinced that they needed to bring Will there because he would love it, too. Even Amie got in on the rock climbing this time.  She was very adventurous and didn't want left behid!   It felt very warm.  Of course last Sunday it was barely 30 degrees.  So, 70's felt hot.  Plus, there was hardly any shade on the trail yet since the leaves haven't come out yet.  We managed to find on cluster of pine trees to enjoy our snack and drink. Later the kids managed to find one sliver of shade along the trail.  Another rock to climb!  And Amie climbed it, too.  I didn't think she would because she was tired.  But, she did.  It actually felt better up there because the rocks were cool. Even Solomon will not be left behind on these rock climbing adventures! This is...

Trough Creek State Park

ROCKS = must run and climb!  Because Trough Creek was so busy with fishers, the children could not go and play in the creek at our normal picnic spot.  They were bummed about that. "Mom, I took a picture of you."  This is what happens when I leave my camera in the hands of a four year old!  Our picnic didn't last long since they could not wade and play in the creek.  So we started our hike to Rainbow Falls and the Balanced Rock. Rainbow Falls This Balanced Rock still won't bu...

Easter

Image
First we went to the Belleville Easter egg hunt.  I only got a picture of Amie because the other two had already dumped out their eggs.  Next, we went to the Easter celebration with our Sharp family. Second cousins Natalee looks like she's carrying a football, but it's really a large egg. It was a beautiful (but chilly) day!
