Riverside Trail

Image
Friday afternoon we followed the Riverside Trail along the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River.  It was nice little hike.  It was a nice and smooth trail that even Amie could walk on.  The kids threw rocks in to the river, picked me flowers, hung on fallen trees, collected shells, and explored all kinds of things. I thought the golden rod was really pretty.  Brady insisted that I take a picture. You can see the stems from my flower bouquet.  Oops. They struggled to get Amie to cooperate for a picture, so I thought I should still use it!

The Park

Earlier in the week, we stopped at the park while we were out and about. It was so foggy earlier in the morning that the slides were still very wet at nearly noon. Amie would not stand still for a picture....she just ran. Amie eating the bridge. I tried to get a picture of all three of us.  This was the only way I could get Amie corralled for a few seconds.  Is she a bit ornry? Yes.

Brady's First Day of School

Image
I just realized that I never posted pictures from Brady's first day of school.  It's no wonder, really.  The day following his attendance at preschool, he got sick.  He had a fever for three days.  And then, Amie was sick for five days. She had a fever, ear infection, and a stridor in her cough. Happy return to school!

A Pumpkin as Big as Amie

Image
Natalee and Brady were excited when they saw a green pumpkin in the garden that was "as big as Amie!" They had to wait quite a while until the long neck pumpkin was orange enough to be harvested. And, it really was as big as Amie! I think the huge plant put nearly all of its growing efforts into this one pumpkin :)
