Seneca Rocks
After camping at New River Gorge National Park, we drove north through West Virginia on US 119 (which is a very slow, winding road) and WV 28. It was a gorgeous drive. It turns out that we were only a few miles from the The Greenbriar. I wish that we had known! The Greenbriar Valley was pretty to drive through, as were sections of Seneca State Forest and Monongahela National Forest. I also wish that we had stopped at a few of the state parks that we passed. However, we drove through snow during a lot of our drive before lunch. And, it was still cold and windy. We passed the Green Bank Observatory and Telescope. We could not go in any buildings because of COVID, of course. In Monongahela National Forest, we stopped to hike as far as you can hike up to Seneca Rock.
