Hoover Dam

Image
A few weeks ago I stumbled across a stellar airfare deal to Las Vegas from Pittsburgh.  We've been wanting to visit Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce Canyon National Parks.  I felt that Jesse needed a break from work.  Fortunately, we could make it happen.  This was Amie's first airplane flight.  This was the first airplane flight that Brady remembers.  Everyone was beyond excited with anticipation.  Because our flight left from Pittsburgh, we managed to fit in a trip to Ikea! We arrived in Las Vegas late Saturday night.  We didn't stay in Vegas long.  Early Sunday, we stopped at Walmart for food supplies and headed south to the Hoover Dam. We walked on the pedestrian path across the new highway bridge. Until a few years ago, the real highway went across the top of the Hoover Dam.  For security reasons, they built a new one.  Even to park and walk across the new bridge, we went through a security check point.   ...

Piano Recital

Tonight was Natalee's piano recital.  She was really nervous for her first recital.  Even so, she did really well! (Unfortunately, part of the sound on this video cut out.  She really was playing the entire time.)

Rocky Ridge (again)

We do love hiking to Rocky Ridge.  Sunday was a really nice day.  It was perfect for hiking. The weather and temperature were nearly perfect.  So, we had to go to Rocky Ridge again.  This time it was just us. We had to take a break. Amie took this picture! My impression of Lewis and Clark.
