Hello Spring?

Image
Hello, Spring?  Are you there?  I really don't mind.  I'm not one that is grumbling about his snow after a teasing 60 degree day earlier this week.  I kind of like it.  I'd rather have this than ice or 40 degree rain.  After all, the snow will melt tomorrow :) Hello, Robin.  Are you a little confused? Six inches of snow + 34 degrees = horrible sledding but great snow man and igloo making!

Brady's 6th Birthday

I'm not sure how Brady is six years old already.  He's definitely a huge blessing to our family.  His laughter is contagious and he is very determined.  I love when he starts to laugh and run around with his sisters.  Lately, Brady has been playing a lot of card games like Uno, Skip Bo Jr, War, and Solitaire.  He still enjoys reading a lot.  Brady is constantly asking me questions like, "What is 9 x 1,000?"  Or, "What is 1,000,000 x 1,000?" Sibling love  Brady has also been playing with a Mega Blox Hot Wheels race car that he had received for Christmas.  We got him a new set of race cars plus he received a Lego garbage truck and he spent the whole afternoon putting them together.  And, they've ke...

Blue Knob Ski Resort

All winter, we had been wanting to take the Natalee and Brady skiing.  They've never been skiing before. There's been plenty of snow, but it seemed that every day we had available to ski was extremely cold.  I didn't want to take the kids for their first ski experience on a day with 10 degree highs.  And, it's always windy at Blue Knob since it is the second tallest mountain in Pennsylvania. On a side note- it's been 5 years since Jesse and I have gone skiing.  When I gathered our things yesterday to get ready, I found disintegrated foam on the goggles.  So, no goggles for us! We sent the kids to ski school for 2 1/2 hours.  The day started with blue skies and was fairly warm.  Everyone else went to lunch!  After lunch, we went skiing with the kids.  They were quite eager to show us what they learned!    Natalee was starting to advance from "pizza skiing" to turning.  Brady was slightly frustr...
